AI Governance

Responsible AI grounded in compliance, education and applied academic work.

My AI Governance focus builds on regulatory compliance experience and a legal background, supported by structured education, individual applied research, group academic work and continuing professional development.

Evidence basis

Three connected foundations

01

Compliance foundation

Experience translating regulatory expectations into governance, policies, controls and traceable implementation.

02

Structured education

CAS in AI in Finance and further courses covering AI Governance, data protection and responsible adoption.

03

Applied academic work

An individual CAS thesis, a group academic case study and continuing applied research.

Core AI Governance themes

My AI Governance perspective focuses on how financial institutions can translate emerging AI expectations into practical governance, clear accountability, risk-based controls and traceable implementation.

Risk classification

Assessing AI use cases according to risk and proportionate control needs.

Accountability

Clarifying roles, responsibilities and decision ownership.

Human oversight

Defining where review, challenge and escalation remain necessary.

Documentation

Supporting traceability, rationale and evidence.

Validation & monitoring

Considering testing, performance review and ongoing oversight.

Explainability

Supporting appropriate interpretation and challenge of AI outputs.

Audit trails

Maintaining evidence that supports review and accountability.

Responsible adoption

Integrating AI in a controlled and proportionate manner.

CAS thesis

Individual applied research

As part of the CAS in AI in Finance, I authored “AI-Driven Compliance in Financial Services: Navigating Risks and Governance toward Responsible Adoption”. The research considered Swiss financial institutions under FINMA supervision alongside the EU AI Act and US regulatory developments. It examined governance issues including bias, explainability, privacy, cybersecurity, hallucinations, model drift and skills gaps, and developed recommendations concerning risk classification, human oversight, validation, monitoring and audit trails.

Group academic work

Academic group case study

I contributed analysis and recommendations to an academic group case study examining governance, privacy, security, quality assurance and deployment considerations for an internal generative AI platform in a financial institution. The work also assessed strategic and operational implications and considered training, monitoring, adoption measures and phased implementation to support a secure and compliant introduction.

Education & development

Structured education and continuing development.
